You started a blog to let your thoughts and feelings be heard around the net. Blogging may be a hobby or a way to get out updates for your organization or business. Either way, a blog can serve to generate income for you. This does not need to take much effort on your part either. Take these simple steps and you will see a financial benefit. Next you need to find a host for your blog. Finding one is easy, but be aware that you get what you pay for. You will be able to have your blog look and feel exactly as you want and it will be easier for people to remember your blog’s name. Now it’s time to monetize that blog!
The most common way that bloggers get revenue for their site is pay per click advertising, with Google Adsense being the most popular. These accounts are very easy to set up. You just submit basic information about your blog. After you have written an entry in your blog, a program searches your blog for keywords and automatically places relevant ads on your page. You get paid for the clicks made on those ads by your readers. These ads usually complement your writing and can benefit your reader by providing them with additional resources.
Affiliate sales are another popular way to make money from a blog. These sales are essentially referral commissions. Websites you already belong to or do business with may have an affiliate program. If you have a popular blog, you may want to merchandise it. There are many sites out there that will put your blog’s logo on all sorts of items. If your readers love you and you have cool items to sell, this can be a great way to make money also.
Selling products on your blog is a direct and effective way to make money. If you offer free information that is useful to your audience or demographic and then follow that up with products or services for pay; you are likely to get buyers. This is big money for those in the health care industry and financial sectors. Both are areas that individuals value greatly and if you can show yourself to be an expert by blogging with some really good content, selling products in line with your industry will become a breeze. Using Pay Pal is a great and easy way to do this. You simply copy and paste the correct HTML coding to post to your blog and you will have a “Buy” button that customers and/or clients can use. With one touch of the button and their credit card or a Pay Pal account, you’re making money! Don’t think that this direct and in your face approach doesn’t work. Again knowledge is key and giving a bit of it away, makes you credible.
Remember that even a personal journal blog can make you money. Think of your hobby or your organization’s blog as a way to make some extra cash. If you think of your blog in terms of business hosting using these and many other monetizing opportunities available; over time you will start to see revenue from your blog. You’ll be glad you took the time to not only set up a blog but keep it interesting and current.
I had some free time yesterday and thought of giving something free to my visitor. So I created a simple ebook 72 dpi ecover action script using photoshop.
1. Make sure to Unzip the file first.
Open up the Actions palette in Photoshop. You should find something that looks like this:
2. Select the button in the top right corner of the action palette. A drop down menu should appear. Select ‘Load Actions..’.
3. Now just find the place on your computer where eCoverAction.atn is currently residing, and select the file. Press “OK”
4. It should now appear in your actions palette. Extend the eCoverAction folder, and select ‘Template’. Hit the play button in the lower edge of the window.
This should create the following template.
5. Go ahead and design your eCover!
6. After completed designing the ecover, go back to your Actions Palette, and this time select Action 1. Press Play again to transform your ecover into a 3D ecover:
